813 – 32 Minute Guest Mix for Rinse FM

813…this dude. He’s a firefighter from Moscow who “wishes you be happy for all your life”. So any possibility of disliking him is out the window. From here, his tunes are the lifeblood of this blog because they so beautifully play between uptempo/half-tempo/uptempo/etc. in each tune, and at the tune’s climax you feel like you won the battle for Earth, fell in love, and are celebrating on a sensibly sized dancefloor. His sound palette is categorically soothing and cathartic, yet at the same time so propulsive, and his synths comfortably stab at the most effective cavities in the pattern. Just when you feel the groove leaning into Jersey Club, he pulls you back and restabilizes with a commanding offensive of abstract group chanting, exotic & modest instrumental drips, and a securely girded drum cadence.

In this phenomenal mix, his ridiculously discerning taste for music and strong transitional skills are well magnified, and is perfect for a 30 minute leg of intense exercise or the final stretch of happily smashing out the end of an assignment.
